Delete Your Account in the App

The fastest option is available directly in GearsTrack. Open the mobile app, go to Settings, choose Delete Account, and confirm the final deletion prompt. Your account and associated GearsTrack data are deleted immediately. This action cannot be undone.

Request Deletion by Email

If you cannot access the app, send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".

Please include the email address associated with your GearsTrack account so we can locate and verify your account.

Email Request Steps

  1. Send an email to [email protected] with the subject "Account Deletion Request".
  2. Include the email address you use to sign in to GearsTrack.
  3. We will verify your identity and confirm the deletion request via email.
  4. Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of confirmation.

What Data Is Deleted

When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed:

  • Your account profile and email address
  • All vehicle projects, including names, descriptions, and settings
  • Parts lists, costs, vendor info, and tracking data
  • Timeline and maintenance log entries
  • Issue tracker records and diagnostic data
  • Inspiration board entries
  • All uploaded photos and images (hero banners, timeline photos, etc.)
  • Subscription and billing association (payment records held by Stripe are subject to their retention policy)

What Data May Be Retained

In limited circumstances, we may retain certain information after account deletion:

  • Legal obligations — Data required to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal proceedings.
  • Payment records — Stripe may retain transaction records independently in accordance with their Privacy Policy.
  • Server logs — Basic infrastructure logs (IP addresses, timestamps) maintained by our hosting providers (Cloudflare) may persist for up to 90 days for security purposes.

Retention Period

Account deletion is completed within 30 days of your confirmed request. During this period, your account will be deactivated and inaccessible. Once deletion is complete, the action is irreversible and your data cannot be recovered.
