Project car issue tracker

Track every problem on the build until it is actually fixed.

Project cars collect problems faster than anyone can remember them. GearsTrack keeps each issue attached to the car it belongs to, with how serious it is, when it showed up, what it looked like, and whether it is still open.

Free for up to three builds. No credit card required.

Write the problem down while it is fresh

Give the issue a title, rate it low, medium, or high, note the odometer reading, describe what you saw or heard, and add a photo. The details that matter for diagnosis stop living in your head or a text thread.

Start the research in one tap

Each new issue saves a Google search built from the car's make and model plus the problem you described, so the forum threads and videos about your platform are one tap away instead of a query you rebuild every time.

See what is still blocking the build

Move issues from open to in progress to resolved as the work happens. GearsTrack stamps the date an issue is resolved, and the comment thread keeps the notes and photos from the fix with the problem it solved.

How it works

A useful record from the first part to the first drive

  1. 1

    Add the car

Create the project with its year, make, model, and the rest of the details you track.

  2. 2

    Log the issue

Record the title, severity, odometer reading, description, and a photo of what you found.

  3. 3

    Research and work it

Open the saved search, mark the issue in progress, and add comments as you test and rule things out.

  4. 4

    Close it out

Mark it resolved so the date is recorded and the build's open-issue list stays honest.

Common questions

Is the issue tracker free?

Yes. Logging, updating, and resolving issues is part of the free plan, with no cap on the number of issues. Pro adds build analytics such as average time to resolve and a breakdown by severity.

Can other people see or comment on my issues?

Collaborators you invite can view and comment on issues. If you publish a public build page, it shows how many issues are resolved and each issue's status.

Does GearsTrack diagnose the problem for me?

No. GearsTrack keeps the record and starts the search; the diagnosis is still yours, your shop's, or your platform community's.
